Cryptaris - Interstitial 1 - Trajectory Mapping
vimeo
This is the first of eight story interstitials within the Cryptaris simulated mission experience. This interstitial sets up the story arc of an unknown group that launches a rocket carrying an unknown payload. The rocket malfunctions and explodes within the Earth’s atmosphere. The U.S. Army is tracking this payload as it begins to fall back to earth. The mission is to recover the payload and gather any critical intel. This film moves the player into the first challenge of Trajectory Mapping, where the user must locate / calculate where on the globe the payload will land and then deploy troops to that location.
Cryptaris is a narrative mission comprised of 8 motion graphic interstitials and 7 WebGL games, each testing the user on an array of STEM skills that are required for the U.S. Army’s most unique career opportunities.
