This is a rework that replaces the version I made 9 months ago. New shots, new music, new edit. At some point, if all goes to plan, this will be replaced with a another version in another several months. And so on...

And now let's talk about drones and safety! It takes a lot of effort to fly drones in the city safely. Planning, scouting, coordination, unique equipment, part 41 and 107 pilots, visual observers, PAs, etc. Critical to this is minding LA’s busy airways by staying out of controlled airspace (except where specifically authorized), staying clear of helicopters and monitoring FAA frequencies. For the safety of those below, much effort is made to keep the shot lively while avoiding crowds, events, flying over people, motorcycles and open vehicles, staying out of drivers’ eyelines, etc. And ultimately, safety is about realizing that some of the shots just can’t be done and will stay in my imagination instead of being in this video.
Thanks to those who came out to assist late at night or way too early in the morning. Thanks to LAPD, and Air Support for advice, assistance, general coolness.
