In this work the feeling is chilly, stripped of expression and sentimentality, but the dancers seem to give off waves of heat. On their own or in pairs they open themselves up to the audience. It is fascinating, hypnotic. Here we dispense with the constant references to the media and our consumer-driven society, watching dancers channelling a certain integrity, beauty and sensuality, dancers whose bodies have given up the fight. They are both naked and clothed, alone in a sharp-edged, hostile environment, we cannot tear our eyes away. In this linear piece, his second, David Wampach shows both maturity and authenticity
